Finnish foundations remain an important matching funding source for CMI. In September 2012 Wihuri Foundation donated a 75 000€ grant for matching funding purposes in CMI’s project in Afghanistan.
In 2012 CMI systematically started also to survey European foundations. Most of the largest European foundations do not accept unsolicited application and new calls for proposals are not opened this year due to the economic situation.
