The CMI R&D team acts as a support function for CMI activities in the three regional teams. The team:

• develops methodologies and approaches used in the implementation of CMI field projects,
• participates in the design of and provides methodological support for the regional teams implementing the field projects,
• develops and maintains the CMI internal monitoring and evaluation framework,
• carries out projects and research activities that are not specific to any region, but which aim to support the overall development of CMI’s program.
