Mediation Support Network Meets in Helsinki

Mediation support experts shared their experiences and best practices in a two-day meeting in Espoo, Finland. On 7-8 of June, over twenty representatives of the member and supporting organizations of the Mediation Support Network were present in the meeting. The Mediation Support Network is a global network of organizations whose activities include supporting mediation efforts in peace negotiations. The network aims at enhancing the communication between the various experts and practitioners in the field. The regular meetings consist of workshops, brainstorming and presentations by the participants. The meeting in Helsinki was the Network’s 5th gathering and it was hosted by CMI (Crisis Management Initiative). This time, the topic of the meeting was “Increasing Cooperation and Coordination Between Mediators and Other 3rd Party Actors in Peace Processes.”
