Crisis Management Initiative (CMI), a Finnish independent non-profit organization, works to prevent and resolve violent conflict by involving all actors relevant to achieving sustainable peace.

Our vision is All conflicts can be resolved.

Background

CMI was founded in 2000 by its chairman President Martti Ahtisaari. The headquarters of the organisation are in Helsinki, Finland.

CMI's expertise

• Mediation and dialogue: Mediating conflicts, facilitating dialogue processes and providing direct support to mediation processes
• Capacity building: Strengthening the conflict resolution and peacebuilding capacity of conflict parties, international and regional organisations, governments and civil society
