Denis Matveev is an adviser to CMI’s Black Sea and Central Asia projects. He is an international consultant, trainer and facilitator in the fields of peacebuilding and conflict transformation.  Denis has worked with NGOs, governments/authorities and intergovernmental organisations in Moldova-Transdniestria, Ukraine (Crimea), Georgia-Abkhazia, Romania, Sri Lanka and the UK.

Denis Matveev has 5 years of experience in the corporate business sector, where he headed up the Corporate Strategy department for a major Australian corporation.

Denis holds an MA in Peace and Conflict Studies from the European Peace University in Stadtschlaining, Austria and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne. He has previously taught a Masters course at the EPU and now teaches a Masters course at the University of Basel.  He is also a regular trainer at the Academy for Conflict Transformation in Bonn, Germany.
